Cold toes suck. In Wisconsin, it’s a problem that we face regularly, so when I had the chance to check out some ThermaCELL Heated Insoles, you better believe I jumped at it. ThermaCELL released their heated insoles back in 2012 and I’ve been wanting a pair ever since. I finally had the opportunity to review them and they did not disappoint.

The remote for the Heated Insoles is small enough to fit in your pocket and wireless to make heating up your foot insoles easier.
I ordered a large size for my size 9 feet. This came in a little big, but you can trim the insoles for an exact fit, which I did. After I got them in my boots, I decided to test them out. I put the settings to high and away I went. Now, you’re feet are not going to get super hot, and you may not even notice it, but that is the point. ThermaCELL says that your feet need to stay neutral so they don’t sweat, which is what makes them cold. Keeping the temperature neutral will allow your feet to stay warm AND dry. Smart idea with the breathable insoles guys.

The fit of the insole was nice and I had no problem getting them to fit comfortably. Hiking all day my feet never got cold and I didn’t experience any discomfort. The handy remote fit right in my pocket and was very easy to use to turn the insoles heat settings up and down.
Do Heated Insoles Work?
Winter sucks, but having the right gear makes it manageable. The ThermaCELL heated insoles are a great piece of gear and one that I’d recommend any stand hunter, or any type of hunter in a cold state.
