POV Footage of Falcons Hunting Crows

This amazing footage comes from a falcon-mounted camera as the falcon descends upon — and eventually captures — a fellow bird.

Falcons do not typically hunt other birds of this size, but will if they are attacked or if food is scarce.  Judging from the frigid and desolate climate seen in the video — my guess is that common falcon foods like small rodents were extremely hard to find… thus, Captain Falcon had to bring the hammer down on one of his own.

I grew up with a small 2-acre pond in my parents' backyard. I fish by tying fishing line, hook, and bait to an empty water bottle and tossing it out on the water. I then sit on the dock and drink beer and wait for the bottle to get dragged around by some catfish, and proceed to chase it around in the paddle boat.
