Crosskix Shoe Review
Crosskix are some of the best shoes for travel and work wonders in a variety of situations.
Packing can be a pain. Figuring out what you’re doing on your trip, what you need, what you don’t need and what is absolutely essential is key. One of the handiest things to do when vacationing and packing is finding items that work well for many different situations. Crosskix are the shoes for any situation. Whether you’re hiking in the mountains, crossing a stream, flyfishing on a river or sand bar, or mud mountain biking, these shoes can handle it all.
Crosskix Water Shoe Review
These shoes dry easily and can be completely submerged in water.
The size 9, grey Crosskix that I have weigh in at only 7.5 ounces. I packed these in my checked bag for a recent trip to Kaua’i and they fit in great. I figured that with doing some hiking in a wet environment, I would want some shoes that could easily be cleaned and washed out, while also being worn in water. These were a life saver.
The Perfect Travel Shoe
I found that by bringing these Crosskix, I was able to eliminate hiking shoes, running shoes, water shoes and even some additional flip flops. I hiked several miles in these Crosskix and also did a several mile long bike ride with no issues at all and with no socks on!
Crosskix Travel Shoes
One of the biggest reasons that I wanted the Crosskix was for hiking waterfalls. I wanted shoes that could go over rocks and through mud, but that wouldn’t sacrifice my feet like water shoes or sandals. These were perfect for that. My size 9 was slightly big, but I adjusted them with the snap on the front and it tightened up considerably. While I could feel some slippage in my feet, it was not over kill and was fine for shorter hikes or bike rides.
Waterproof Hiking Shoes
The breathability of these shoes is obviously excellent. There are holes in the top that let air in, but your feet do not get overly hot from being in a case of rubber. They are also super comfortable and cushiony on the bottom, which makes relaxing in them great.
Shoes for Any Environment
When hiking up big hills or rocky slopes, my feet slipped a little, especially when wet, but I don’t think that could be avoided. I also think that I could have used a slightly smaller size, so that’s definitely a cause as well.
I would highly recommend Crosskix to avid travelers and outdoor adventurers. These shoes can be worn on the mountains, in the streams and on a bike. They’d also make great boat shoes.
