It’s not everyday that you see double-digit weight bass being pulled out of Californian lakes, but Kevin Miranda was able to land a monster last week. Miranda, of Sacramento, California caught an 18 pound bass on Lake Camanche near Little Hat. He and his friends took some measurements when he landed it and knew had just caught a world-class fish!

Giant California Bass Caught

Not many fishermen can brag about landing an 18 pound bass and I’m going to guess that there are not many trophies of that caliber around. The bass measured 31 inches long and had a 24 inche girth. That is a huge, huge fish.

Hopefully we’ll see some more awesome fish this season! Great catch Kevin.
